Jonathan Kyle founded Mountaineer Insurance Services in 2006 with the goal of providing clients with the best possible coverage tailored to their needs. Since starting the company fresh out of college, he has worked across nearly every line of insurance, from health to automotive, and now focuses his expertise on commercial insurance, farm operations, and resort and condominium coverage plans.

Born and raised in Randolph County, Jonathan is deeply committed to serving both his clients and his community. In addition to leading Mountaineer Insurance, he serves as:

Angela Kyle

Vice President of Operations, Mountaineer Insurance Services

As Vice President of Operations, Angela oversees the daily functions of Mountaineer Insurance Services, ensuring clients receive the highest level of service. With more than 22 years of combined experience in customer service and the insurance industry, she brings expertise, organization, and a passion for helping clients understand their coverage options.

Angela works closely with the team to streamline processes, support staff development, and maintain the professional standards clients expect. Her ability to explain complex insurance products in a clear and approachable way has made her a trusted resource for families and businesses across the state.

A lifelong West Virginian, Angela enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, Jonathan, and their three children. Hunting, fishing, hiking, and exploring the Mountain State are among her favorite ways to enjoy life with family.

Elizabeth Arbogast

Account Executive, Mountaineer Insurance Services

Elizabeth joined Mountaineer Insurance Services in 2017, bringing nearly 30 years of insurance experience to the team. She specializes in transportation, small business, and workers’ compensation, providing knowledgeable guidance and dependable service to every client.

A lifelong resident of Elkins, Elizabeth studied business at Davis & Elkins College and has earned multiple insurance designations, including AU, AIS, AINS, and AFIS. She is also active in her community, serving as a board member and mentor for Randolph County CLIMB.

Elizabeth and her husband, Derek, have been married for 39 years. Together they have two children and four grandchildren, who affectionately call her “Granny.” In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, baking, and spending time with family.

Kelly Hornick

Commercial Lines Account Executive, Mountaineer Insurance Services

With more than 5 years of experience in the insurance industry, Kelly Hornick helps businesses navigate risk and protect what matters most. She previously served 8 years on active duty in the United States Air Force, where she developed the discipline, integrity, and work ethic that guide her professional approach today.

Kelly brings a strong sense of service and accountability to every client relationship, delivering customized insurance solutions that support long-term success.

Now based in West Virginia, Kelly is a proud spouse and parent of four children. In her free time, she enjoys the outdoors with her family and cheering on her kids at school sporting events.

Jacob Smith

Jacob Smith is an Insurance Producer dedicated to helping families feel confident and protected in their homes and on the road. Licensed in Property & Casualty, Jacob combines industry knowledge with his marketing background to connect with clients in meaningful ways.

With over a year of experience in insurance, Jacob is focused on building relationships and guiding clients toward coverage that fits their needs.

Outside the office, Jacob enjoys traveling, exploring new places, and spending time with his dog, Ally.

Alisha Turner

Customer Service Representative & Licensed Agent, Mountaineer Insurance Services

Alisha Turner has been a valued member of Mountaineer Insurance for over a year, serving as both a licensed Property & Casualty agent and customer service representative. She is dedicated to providing clients with attentive service, ensuring that their insurance needs are handled with care and accuracy.

In addition to her role at Mountaineer Insurance, Alisha is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in History, demonstrating her commitment to both professional and personal growth.

Charles Bell

Charles is an insurance specialist and has been a part of the MIS family for about a year. Prior to starting in the insurance industry, Charles worked for his family’s business – Mill Creek Builders Supply – for 15 years. They provided logging and sawmill services and did all of their own trucking, so Charles has a unique understanding of industrial businesses and their insurance needs.

He’s a lifelong resident of Mill Creek and is active in community service. Treasurer for Beverly United Methodist Church Vice-president and coach for Tygart Valley Youth Football YMCA Basketball Coach Tygart Valley Lions Club Member

Charles has been married for 16 years, and he and his wife have three children. His hobbies include hunting, fishing and camping.

Bethany Arbogast

Commercial Account Executive, Mountaineer Insurance Services

Bethany Arbogast is an experienced insurance specialist who has been working in the industry since 2016, with a primary focus on managing commercial accounts. She specializes in resort rental insurance, providing tailored solutions and dedicated support to clients in the hospitality and vacation rental space.

In addition to her insurance career, Bethany is also a part-time travel agent who enjoys helping others plan memorable getaways. A passionate traveler herself, she loves everything from rustic camping trips to magical vacations at Walt Disney World.

Bethany has been happily married to her husband, Shawn, for 32 years and is the proud mother of two sons, Colin and Owen.

Kevin Lambert

Personal Lines Producer, Mountaineer Insurance Services

Kevin Lambert is a seasoned Personal Lines Producer specializing in Property & Casualty insurance, with more than 20 years of experience. Licensed since 2004, Kevin is widely recognized for his client-first approach, in-depth product knowledge, and dedication to delivering customized insurance solutions that provide peace of mind.

He earned an Associate of Science in Business Administration from Davis & Elkins College, combining a strong academic foundation with years of hands-on expertise to help individuals and families navigate the often-complex world of personal insurance.

Beyond his professional work, Kevin is active in his community. He is a member of Kiwanis, serves as a mentor with Randolph County CLIMB, and is involved with his local church, reflecting his passion for service, leadership, and faith.

Kevin is a devoted husband to his wife, Missy, and proud father of two sons, Benjamin and Isaac. He values integrity, strong relationships, and putting people first in all areas of life.

Bobby Gibson

Agent, Mountaineer Insurance Services

Bobby Gibson was raised in Valley Head, West Virginia, where he continues to live on the family farm in the house his grandparents built. Growing up on a farm taught him the values of hard work, community, and integrity—principles that guide him to this day.

Bobby earned a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Northeastern State University in 1991. He began his career in financial services with Wells Fargo and UC Lending before moving into insurance in 2001. His experience includes working with Farm Family Insurance (2001–2004) and State Farm (2005–2007) before joining Mountaineer Insurance in 2007. Over the years, he managed the Snowshoe office until 2016 and served as a multi-office representative for White Sulphur Springs, Franklin, Webster Springs, and Dailey, overseeing training, hiring, new business, and customer service.

Today, Bobby is known as one of the agency’s most experienced agents, helping clients across personal, commercial, and specialty insurance lines. He particularly enjoys meeting new people, solving problems with quality insurance solutions, and making a positive difference in his clients’ lives.

Community service is also central to Bobby’s work. He participates in Mountaineer Insurance’s monthly service projects, from feeding the hungry to supporting the men and women of the Armed Services with holiday care packages.

Outside of work, Bobby enjoys camping, hunting, and golfing. He is also the proud father of a son who serves in the United States Air Force.

I’m an insurance CSR and licensed producer with under a year of experience, specializing in quoting home and auto coverage. I’m passionate about helping individuals and families find the right protection to fit their needs. Outside of work, I’m a proud mom of three and grateful to care for and support one amazing bonus child. I’ve shared 12 wonderful years with my partner, Richard Lewis. My greatest joy comes from cheering my kids on in sports and spending quality time outdoors—hunting, fishing, and camping with my family is where I feel most at home.
